printer connection from xp to 98

hi all

i got 2 xp box which is always loosing connection to this shared printer (attached to 98) normally about 30 minutes or more after each log in.

network connection is OK. only to the printer.

for temporary solution, i have to log off and then log in back to regain the access to the printer.

im looking for a permanent solution.. TQ

Connect it to your XP box and share it from there.

change cable, update printer driver, uninstall/reinstall printer, look for printer firmware upgrade.

take your pick.

i cannot attach it to xp due to the space reason
and for the driver upgrade, driver for which box should i upgrade
xp or 98?
