Port redirect questions

Currently, I am staying at an apartment complex that offers high speed internet. The connection, however, is firewalled and certain TCP/IP and UDP ports are not accessable by my computer.

My question is this: is it possible to somehow trick my computer to use other ports? For instance...I can't play Starcraft, because the port it uses (6112) is blocked off. Other games, like Counter-Strike: Source are playable, and they use ports in the 27000 - 27050 range. Is it possible to make Starcraft use the CS ports by somehow redirecting it?

Thanks in advance.

I recommend that you ask the management to forward port 6112 to your computer; that will allow you to play the Starcraft game. Check before you ask, to make sure that's the only one you need, so you can only ask once ;-)

I've tried dealing with the ISP, and they said:

"Unfortunately, high bandwidth applications, such as games and
filesharing applications, are not permitted on the community network.
These are global settings which are in place to preserve the bandwidth
for other users."

Oh yes, very true indeed. Unfortunately, their settings to "preserve the bandwidth" fail miserably, because I can't play Counter-Strike until the weekend. Reason? Everbody leaves to go home. When they're here, they look at Facebook and download porn, I'm pretty sure. The IP tests I ran from dslreports.com show the pings peaking horribly around midnight every night during the week. So much for that idea. I'm not going to preserve the bandwidth for them, if they cause me to get booted for bad pings. Fair's fair ;) .

And don't worry, I'm not worried about causing problems with the ISP. I play my few online games on the weekends, and nobody's complained yet.

Anyways, a friend of mine mentioned something about redirecting ports when I mentioned not being able to play half my games. Is there in fact some way to do that in Windows, via a program or something?

Thanks.
