Port Forwarding for X360 with Wireless

Hey, all. I've been advised that you can get better results in multiplayer on the X360 if you forward the ports that it uses. There seems to be a lot of resources for how to do this, but most of them assume a wired connection, and my X360 is on a wireless connection. If you are port forwarding to a wireless connection, do you need to follow the procedure twice (once for the cable modem, once for the wireless router)?

I'm fairly savvy with computers... with the exception of network issues lol. So some help on this would be awesome.
