Port 80 blocked

We have a laptop that seems have it's internet access die after about 5mins of being booted.

We have narrowed it down to it being a port 80 fault and some software might be blocking it.

We can ftp and https:\\ with no problems, just not browse the net.

It is a panasonic toughbook and running windows XP Pro. No spy ware or out of the normal programs.

Does anyone know of programs or anything that might block port80?

Are there any software firewalls in place? Even at that nothing should block port 80 by default entirely...hmmm...how did you come to this conclusion?

I came to this conclusion because i dont know what could be running on this laptop and blocking port 80.

It is on a network with 70 other PCs all sharing the same firewall and this is the only problematic system on the network.

Can you ping a standard http site?

No ping to external sites but can ping internally.

Lan is fully operational

Is it possible, then, that it is being blocked at your gateway?

NO because it is the same gateway as all the other PCs

Do a port sacn and see if 80 is really blocked
