pls help printer sharing using both 98 and xp

I cant print but i can access and print but there is no ink

Ok first of all you need to learn how to post a question. You have two computers, one with windows 98 and one with windows xp? Is the printer shared off of one of the computers and if so which one? Or is it an IP printer? Can you print a test page on either one? What kind of printer do you have? Have you installed the printer drivers on both of the computers? XP has a printer wizard you can run and then make a floppy to install the drivers for a non-xp OS. Have you tried that yet? Please post a lot more detail.

my printer is hpdeskjet 3550 this is not ip printer,
i can use the printer using winxp computers connected. but
when im using my computer with 98 connected to the network and apply print the printer response but there is no ink, coming out.

it's only the win98 computer i have the problem
