Yesterday, my friend brought me her laptop pc because it had to be formatted due to infected with viruses. Then I forgot to note down which drivers she had.. including her built in motherboard.. graphics card(i think ATI), sounds and network.

Is there a way to figure out what exact driver I need for the network(so that she can connect to the internet)?
In other words, is there a way to figure out what motherboard she has in her 3 years old Laptop PC?

thanks.

if it is a notebook, just go to the manufacturers web site, look for support or downloads or whatever. Enter the model number of the notebook . You should probably do this on a pc with a burner so you can dl the drivers and unzip them to a folder you create b4 the dl'ing. then burn the folder to a cd. If there are any cards in the pcmcia slot, you will have to do the above for the manufacturer of the card.

if you don't have mother board cd then my friends the solution is as mentioned above you have to download the drivers from the web..
