Hi Forum,
I have installed an oracle database programme in my server (Windows Server 2008). I opened the 8080 port in the firewall (both Outbound and Inbound). To allow the programme through the Windows Firewall I added it to the "Exception" in the Firewall. The programme is connected to the internet on Static IP Address.
The problem I am having now is that unless I turn off the Windows Firewall, I cannot access the database on another computer. When the firewall in the server is off I can access the database alright but when it is on I cannot access it anywhere. Do I have security when my firewall is off?
I will appreciate someone's help
