Tell them you have slow speeds and that you dont think you should pay for it. Tell them you are thinking of switching companies and theyll get right with you.

What speed package are you subscribed to? I bleive they offer 1.5, 3.0 and 6.0 Meg service, and possibly a few lesser ones under that... after you confirm that you aren't getting the speed that you are signed up for, call the ISP to have them check the settings on the line.

Whenever I have a problem i threaten to switch providers, be it phone, net or tv works well most of the time.

Yeah that's what my dad did to get a few bucks off the internet bill because he complained to cost too much.

Right now I'm trying to figure out what speed package I have.

Yes, theres a phone jack in between the jack to the modem.
