Online Store not working

I am having problems with the online store on a flash-only website - specifically, it won't let me add things to my basket.
It is a massive company, the kind where it is unlikely to be purely a coding error affecting everyone as they would have noticed by now if no-one had bought anything from their website!

I tried 3 different browsers (Google Chrome, FF & IE) with no joy.

I am going to use a friends computer and see if that works, so this may be just for my own knowledge, but I was wondering - is it possible there are settings on my computer (as opposed to my browser) that are causing the problem?

If so, what kind of settings could be at fault?
