Also, how and where can I update the drivers on a realtec RTL8168D (P) / 8111D (P) PCIE - Gigabit ethernet NIC#2

The current driver is listed as 10.30.08 5.708.1030.2008

PC pitstop proposed;
1/14/11 5.782.0114.2011.

Specifically I'm having terrible trouble with my Skype, all the Skype tests I've done indicate that there are no problems. Could it have something to do with this driver?

Thanks in anticipation and best regards,

Brian.

Its your internet connection... Either the cable, or wifi connector.

Who makes your computer or motherboard. That is where I'd get the driver from, the manufactuerer.

What are your skype issues?

Technically speaking the NIC isn't your connection to the internet. It connects you to a network and IF that network happens to have a connection to the internet and grants you access, then you get access. The NIC sends and receives packets of information across the network.
