New router, wireless not working help

So I just got a new Netgear N150 WNR1000 and I have been experiencing wireless connectivity issues with 2 of my laptops. Both of these laptops have a wireless-n adapter. I have tried disabling the password for it but they still won't connect. If I'm lucky they will connect but only for a very short period. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Change the channel you are using or the frequency. Maybe a neighbor is using the same frequency so your devices are unable to connect.

Ok I changed the channel, they both seem to connect but only 1 one of them can actually surf the web. The other just gives me a server not found error any ideas?

edit: Nevermind I have them both online working perfectly thanks for your help.
