Is it still possible to catch viruses and bad stuff through shared folders?

I plan on transferring my entire music folder (which of course most are from p2p like limewire) and some movies from my old *** computer to my new one. is it possible to transfer a virus and screw up my brand new baby?

yeah if a virus was in the shared folder you could.. But last time I checked you really could not catch a virus thru mp3's or mpeg files. I do know that you can get them thru wmv's if you accept to acquire a license to play it back.
