Is there a way for me to recieve an internet connection from my wireless router and foreward it from my computer to my xbox. The Xbox can be considered as another computer. I am using a wireless usb adapter for the recieving conection and an ethernet cable connected from my computer to my xbox.

Why not connect the XBOX to a port on the router?

i am guessing the reason is becaues the adaptor does not have an ethernet port on it. they look similar to a usb jump drive.

yes you can do this. what you must do is bridge the usb drive and your nic, or what ever you have connected to your xbox.

here is some info on it.
http://www.homenethelp.com/web/howto/windows-xp-bridge.asp
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/network-bridging.html

if that does not help look up network bridging

THe connection between my computer and the xbox is not coming up as being connected. The green light on the back of my computer is on, so it is reading the cable. My xbox will not read the connection unless its into a router. Maybe i should use a computer instead of an xbox to set up the connection and then switch the computer with the xbox.
