Hi
I'm having trouble locating a bottle neck in my network.
I have 2 sites about 100m apart the main site has the domain controller & this site works perfectly
The second site has a separate file server with a switch and router that connects to the primary site.
The users at the second site have had intermittent slowness when opening and closing files. It is also a little slow when browsing the server with my computer or explorer.
All servers are windows server 2003. All I have done over the last few weeks with the server is re-boot after installing windows updates. All file permissions are correct Domain Users have full control over data folders and files.
The connection to the server & switch has not changed.
IÂ’m out of possibilities and do not understand why it would act so slow. We have had a few power surges lately but everything is still working.
Your help is appreciated.
Thanks
