Network Management Programs

Does anyone know of any network programs that can manage all the IPs and MAC addresses over a LAN and do things such as remote shutdown and telnet easily? I was using Advanced IP Scanner, but the remote shutdown features are not working.

Advanced IP Scanner is pretty much exactly what I need, except I need the features to work! Let me know if you know of anything.

Advanced IP Scanner will only work if you have Radmin 2.2 server installed on that particular computer. Radmin is a commercial remote control software. You can use TightVNC, it almost does the same thing but it's open source and it's free. http://www.tightvnc.com/

you may also need to enable some of the remote admin features for the remote, shutdown features to work (becuase of the methods used)
