I hope that somebody can help me because I am utterly out of ideas to try.
I have a network set up at work with 8 systems. It has an intermittent problem of sometimes seeing the other computers on the network, and sometimes they cannot.
They are both set to the same workgroup and are using DHCP (except for one system on a static IP, which I need to transfer to/from) through a Linksys broadband router, also with an 8-port Netgear hub connected.
Strangely, sometimes you can see other computers, but are not able to access their shared folders (have no idea why on this either). Say I want to copy a file - sometimes (if the network is working at all) I cannot copy it from my laptop to my desktop, but can copy it from the desktop to the laptop and vice versa.
I have verified they are set to the same workgroup and both have shared folders active...
Any ideas?
