Hi All. I am running WinXP Home and Ive been setting up some sharing between the two computers. I currently have my Dad's stuff on our network so I can transfer stuff from Mine to Downstairs computer. Okay, well now I set it up to do it for my brother and mom. When I went into My Network Places, click on workgroup computers and then selected basement and i wanted to map network drive my brothers folder and mom. When I did it, it says T:\ is not accessible. Access is Denied.

Why is it giving me this message? My dad's folder worked just fine and Ive map networked that drive but those two arent working. There folder or anything else isnt private.

Anybody know whats going on here?

Thanks!

i had a similar problem trying to link a CAD room together.

the computers may have a firewall that is up. be careful here though because the WINXP HOME comes with its own firewall, so even if you have yours disabled your brothers...etc. may be up. check those and it may work.
