New connections keep appearing in Network Connections under 'LAN or High speed internet'. I have the LAN connection which connects using Intel(R) PRO/1000 CT Network Connection, (which I would expect to be there) but I also have two connections called '1394 connection 1 and '1394 connection 2' which use 1394 Net Adapter, (I don't know what this is).
Every time I remove these two connections by uninstalling and restart my computer they re appear each time as '1394 connection 3 and '1394 connection 4', then 5 and 6 and so on. i don't understand what these connections are. The properties always show they are connected???
I have an ASUS P4C800-E deluxe motherboard and I assume this has the Intel PRO/1000 built in. I dont have any other network cards apart from my dialup modem. The only connection I use is a dial up ADSL connection using an external modem.
Any ideas what these connections could be and what they are used for?
Thanks
