I've installed Windows Server 2008 R2 in my home "virtual" test environment. I have AD DS, integrated DNS installed. My configuration as follows:
VMware: Windows Server 2008 R2 - Network adapter connection: Bridged
DC1: IPv4 Configuration
IP: BLANK - Subnet Mask: BLANK - Default Gateway: BLANK. Preferred DNS is configured to 127.0.0.1 and Alernative DNS to 192.168.0.1.
Is DC1 configuration correct?
What IPv4 Configuration will I put in for DC2?

Roughly the same config, however it might be best to run this as a NAT for the simple fact you can have each machine a separate IP address.

i dont understand why the ip is blank. I would setup separate ips on the same lan for both. I would add default gateway if external web addresses would need to be accessed. The DG would be a device that can route.

The reason it came up blank is because the network adapter was bridged to his main network adapter. The IP configuration would be the same as his desktop.
