Hi

Would anybody be able to inform me what network bridging in Windows XP is for. Also I heard from someone that by adding a second network card to a PC then bridging them both would increase the speed of the PC on the network. Is this true?

Thanks :)

That isn't bridging. Bridging involves connecting to networks together. Functionality is similar to a router for a routeable network protocol (like IP) but is done at a lower level. Layer 3+ wise, the two networks can't really tell each other apart.

Although I don't remember the formal, technical term, using two network connections to double throughput is usually called "shotgunning".
