netlogon help

i keep changing netlogon to be automatic but whenever i restart it sets itself back to manual. it works fine i just have to start it manually, anyone how to fix this?

what application are you using to use this service. usually, when logging into a domain, it will start automatically. also, when you use a DUN connection on a RAS device or when you are using a VPN with a domain controller.
but, in an answer to your question....if you do not log into a domain, then it will not fire up automatically....no need to.
