NETGEAR DG834G Router - Packet Loss on wireless?

I'm having a few problems with my new router (name above) and I'm not 100% sure whats wrong with it :|

I'm having occasional packet loss, not 100% sure why because my signal strength is 100% and nothing is interfering with the wireless signal.

I set up a continuous ping to google (ping -t 66.249.93.99) and these are the results:

the thing is the results of pinging google actually dont show any packet loss just a few packets taking significantly longer that the others which is nothing unusual. If you fired loads of ICMP echo requests at my server i would give them a lower priority too.

If were loosing packets you would get a timed out message. The thing with TCP is it is a reliable connection so packet lost packets are re-sent and it is not too much of an issue.
