Need recomendation Router/Modem

I need someone to recommend a replacement modem/router. I am with Charter Cable & I would like to stop renting their modem/router ($10 a month). There are a lot of routers/modems & I am not sure which one will work well & be up to date.

I recommend you use this type of cable modem, if your speeds reach between 40.0mbps or lower this will definently help you.
There is the motorola cable modem, but I do not recommend you look their way for now.
Everytime I get one brand new from comcast, it over heats without me even doing anything to it and with in 1-3 months it's out the door going back to comcast for repair or recyclement.

Or try a D-Link DCM-202 DOCSIS 2.0 modem, hope I helped.
