Need help with a Wireless Router

I just got a laptop its a 2 year old IBM thinkpad. I need to get a router and i am not sure which brand or type to look at. Can someone help me out?

what type of wireless does you laptop have?
wireless n or g protocol?

what model of thinkpad do you have?

I would look at a d-link wireless g router for your best bang for your buck.
