Hi all,
basically i have a nas enclosure with 2 x 1tb disks in a raid stripe array
it came with USB and RJ45 but i always used USB at home as it was easier

anyway one day when i was moving the enclosure once i dropped it
and ever since then the usb access wont work
so the only way i can access it is via ftp or smb
i had about 9 folders in the system and one hidden folder

by using ftp or smb i can access all 9 folders but not the hidden folder as with ftp and smb you have username/folders .. and in the admin page of the nas i cant select the hidden folder as it does not appear so i cant grant acces to me the user as the admin page cant seen the listing as it is hidden

so basically i need to access this hidden folder
eg:

/storage/hiddenfolder

but all i can see in ftp / smb
is /storage/user/(all other folders but the hidden one)

so is there some way of getting this hidden folder to appear or move to another folder so i can access it ?

i read somewhere about ssh but i dont think that will work ?

any ideas?

what make and model?

i wonder what would happen if you yanked the drives and installed them to another windows box.

i would check warrenty status of this unit, try to get replacement after backing up data
