my ma is impatient (wireless)

How long should it take for a laptop to connect to wireless latop, once the computer has been started up and logged on???

Its taking my ma's laptop about a minute after its logged on, and shes really starting to get on my tits with complaing about it....

I would have to say that sound totally normal... Tell her to try to OPEN any kind of application on the laptop immediatly after startup. When (assuming she has Windows) starts up, there are certain processes and whatnot that it has to launch before it will do anything else. Tell her that a minute is nothing, and if she is complaining about it, tell her to turn it on a minute early...

You might get a better answer if you post in the windows forum, as I don't think there is an issue with the wireless.

It depends on where your wireless router is and where the antenna is placed on the router.

Most internal wireless cards are crappy; i recommend a PCMCIA wireless-G card.
