My Internet is incredibly slow...

On the speed test I get on their website (SBCglobal DSL)
I am getting 768 download speed with 300 Upload speed.

I'm downloading at 75/kbps

I talked to a representative, that told me that since the website is showing that speed that my connection is flawless.


Is my download speed correct? Or is there more to this?

Anything and everything, whether it be from Steam, or from yahoo's own website. 75KB has been the max.

even youtube is slow!


speed test says .59mbps for DL IIRC, i checked just a second ago.

I'm almost positive I don't have a virus, like 99.999999% sure.
does anyone know what I can do to make my connection faster?

You really need to check for rogue programs.

im paying for the basic, 768kb Down, and 384 Up, plan

idk 76kbps seems a little low when im downloading... thats like.. 56k speed almost.

Mate...you're getting speeds confused.

76KB/s download speed is NOT the same as 76kbps.

KB/s = Kilobytes/second, while kbps = kilobits per second.
