Default Modifying the dns suffix

I'm looking at my vista network adapter dns suffix and it says mshome.net... which is normal cause its sharing network access from an xp router set up... my question is can i personalize this a bit... maybe rename the dns suffix?

no reason to unless you are running 2 different domains like

mynetwork.local --> internal network
mynetwork.com --> external network

You want to go into your router and change the name of the router.

What if that router were an xp laptop? Where would one go then?
