ME to XP home upgrade Lost network?

Upgraded inspiron 4000 ME to XP home SP2. Can't get hooked up now. NIC shows good send and receive--wireless card sees net also but IE gives me cant find server or dns error --ping gives me "transmit failed error 65" out and "host down" in. Any ideas?

Reload the O/S. Upgrades carry over any problems that you may of had before and can create them as well. I betcha that solves the problem.
