ok, i have 2 computers one old one new, i wanted to transfer stuff from one to the other, ive used network wizard but i cant see old computer from new, old computer can see new?!?!? does anyone know how to set up a network, step by stpe properly, a slight suspicion if mine is that 1 computer has a slightyl outdated OS, both are XP but my new one is updated

but network doesnt, my old computer keeps saying i dont have administartors right etc., plz plz help meYou'll need to log into either computer as the appropriate user account, or else share the entire computer with no permissions.
So, either create the same useraccount on both PCs that are administrators, or else create a file share on both PCs for the files that you want to share back and forth and click the Permissions button - select the permissions for Everyone to full control/change/read.
