I have a BT Voyager 100 USB ADSL Modem. On the back it has a USB and DSL port. I got told, to connect the router(link above) that 1 ethernet would go from the pc to router, and 1 from the router to my modem. But the ethernet doesnt fit in the DSL port in my modem. I was wondering if what i got told was completely wrong, or maybe i have a wrong ethernet cable, as the ends are completely the same, im new to networking, so i dont know. If anyone could help id appreciate it, be it advice on the above equipment, or different equipment.
Cheers
Tyler

The modem only has a USB port and a Rj11 port. The Rj11 is connecting the DSL to the phone line, the USB would be used to connect to one computer.

What a dumb design, what ISP gave you such a PoS device? You might want to consider getting a new DSL modem with Ethernet port.

The RJ11 is for the phone line...I don't see how changing it to RJ45 will help you out, the DSL modem has to be connected to the phone line using the RJ11 port.

I'm not sure if the USB to RJ45 converter will work.
