Linksys wired router issue

ok heres the deal. I got 6.0mb DSL and when I run the wired router and do a speed test it only gives me 3mb d/l but it gives me 432kb/s upload which is the 6.0mb package upload speed. I have ran a test w/o the router and all went well got 6.1mb d/l speeds. Is there a setting on the router or something that can be adjusted so that I get all the speed?

have you tried upgrading the router's firmware?

Also, correct your sig man, that is WAAAAAY to large.

Simply stated that router won't do those speeds.
