Just got a new Linksys for another computer in our house. The thing only picks up certain web sites and doesn't work on others. Called Linksys and they think it's a bad router. Just doesn't make sense to me as to why it would go to google and some other sites but not yahoo or msn. Any ideas?

Try resetting the router. Its a small button. Press it for 10-20 seconds. Reset up your router and try again.
