Linksys or Netgear?

I am in desperate need of upgrading my D-Link 604 & Netgear WG602V3 AP into either a wireless router or another router and access point setup.

My questions are these:

Am I better to go with Linksys or Netgear? I am a really heavy user of the internet and currently have my Xbox 360 and another PC hooked up the internet - so, if possible, it needs to be consistant or evenly distribute the speed/bandwidth. That's if it is possible.

And should I simply get a wireless router (2 things are on wireless, this computer and my xbox 360, 1 thing is wired) instead of a router and access point?

Go with Linksys. Netgear may be cheaper, but we've had some less-than-optimal experiences with them. Linksys has a quality product and pretty good customer service as well.
