Hey Guys,

I was wondering how i would be able to restrict a user from accessing anything but the desktop icons in Windows XP Pro?

Thats including accessing the HDD and CTRL+ALT+DELETE.

Also If any of you know of a good program to help with the operation of a LAN Gaming room, that would be a great help :)

Thanks,

Waza.

Putting the computers on a domain and using windows server 2003 as your domain controller might work. You certainly would have a lot of control over them if you put them on a domain. Besides that, I don't know of any software that does what you're talking about. I know colleges and schools use certain programs to lock down computers, but I don't know what the name of the software is.

You would need to run active directory on a server and apply it to all PCs on the domain, or you could go through the tedious process of setting Group Policy with gpedit.msc on each computer in the LAN. If you have a small number of computers, the latter will be the best way to do it.
