I use JWHOIS at my DOS command line and redirect the output to a text file. On several queries depending on which host finds a match, I noted that the (HOST's) format and item naming in the file are not standardized.
In other words for one result from APNIC, domains are labeled....
inetnum: NNN.NNN.NNN - NNN.NNN.NNN
....and another query from ARIN gave me .....
netrange: NNN.NNN.NNN - NNN.NNN.NNN
It would be nice if JWHOIS could reassemble the dump into a standard naming convention. I know there would be no more than 10 variations as there are 10 RIR hosts. I wonder if there is a way to accomplish that; perhaps has a parameter, or through another utility.
Thanks
Spence
