Job outlook

For those of you out there with jobs in this field, do you see the economy getting better in the next year or so, especially in the north east? I am debating on whether I should go back to school and getting my A+, NET+, Linux+, MCP and MSCA certs and possibly a security +? I know some of you will say just study the books and take sample tests to save money but I learn better doing thinks hands on.

Your thoughts if you think this is a good idea?

You might learn better with hands on (I am the same way) but if you have certs, you will shine above the rest if you are going for a position with others that don't have certs... Also, some companies might REQUIRE a cert before hiring you to a position....

I have been told that Security is a very good thing to look into, as they ALWAYS need people.

EASY....do what i do.....
Enroll for a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science.....
But make sure its a descent school.....

Its like killing all birds with an atomic bomb.......

The take you from low level, to information system, to high level...

Well, comcast is always expanding....so the need it people.......there at a job fair just now.....

But something thats not rapidly expanding will not need it people since they're already there.
