Ip access lists

Is there anyway to get an ip address that you want to block? i know how to do it the regular way that they teach you in cisco, but i have to retake my teacher CCNA. Im doing this to teach at a community college near me and i was just wondering.

Can you be a little more specific? You want to block the IP address from where?
