hi all, techy forum newb! o
I've got an obscure problem to lay before you...many of our users are complaining of slow/poor internet usage(core of the business uses internet resources)
On visiting page examples, such as, www.multimap.com support.microsoft.com, yahoo.co.uk...just to name a few websites get loading issues.
We are using a proxy server, which is located in a remote site.
General set up of network.
OUR OFFICE ---> HEADOFFICE --> PROXY SERVER ---> INTERNET
We're connected to the main office via a 100mb pipe link, which is located over seas (we're in the UK - headoffice Europe)
Would this be a latency issue or something todo with the proxy server timing out due to the link?
Any help would be brilliant!
also i've attached a file, of what sometimes happens when a page loads...in this instance its rendered the css...however, in other events i see nothign but "jibberish" of ascii characters... a few times websites just don't open fullstop and IE just waits and displays nothing.
chong!
