Internet SO SLOW!

i have an old P4 1.70 GHz
w/ 512mb of ram
pci nvidia graphics card , (its an older one very low end it has a dvi port and a vga so you can hook up 2 monitors.)

im using a belkin wireless card that has worked before.
just formated and reinstalled windows

we get the internet but its going to slow to be of any use what so ever i turned off the firewall and there is extremely low possibilitys of a virus

i have another computer hard wired into the router and internet works for it perfectly and i have another computer using a wireless chip connecting to the router internet also works perfectly

Its a long shot, but try power cycling the router/modem.

add an extra 512 of ram

Do you have a proxy server for your Internet service provider.

Internet Options --> connections --> lan settings

Try to match the same prefrences for the two Pc's.
