internet sharing (ics) ip conflict plz help!

yeah i am connected to the network but i cant browse or connect to the internet. That is my problem.

do an ip config from both machines tell me what it says

go to run type in cmd and type ipconfig in there and post it

ehternet adapter wireless network connection 2:
laptop it says :
Connection-specific dns suffix : domain.actdsltmp
Ip address : 192.168.0.6
subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
default gateway : 192.168.0.1

desktop:
connection specific: same as above

ip address
: 192.168.0.5.

subnet: same as above (on laptop)
gateway: same as above(on laptop)

oh yeah it also says before that all : ethernet adapter local area connection : media state : media disconnected

looks good to me

on the laptop try an ipconfig /release

then an ipconfig /renew

ipconfig/renew
ipconfig/flushdns
ipconfig/registerdns

should i try browsing internet now? or try turning ics on?

Don't need ICS, just try using internet.
