my internet server at the cafe is win98se.. i do have win2k pro workstations that doesn't seem to connect to my internet sharing, but other PCs using win98se have no problems. what seems to be the problem?

win2k - I dont like it. Im sure it can be done, im just expressing my opinion with 2k. I have ha a lot of networking problems with it.

Win2k is actually pretty stable. The biggest drawback is you don't have a Win2k Server running to authenticate your workstations. Since there is no server, when adding a Win2k PC to a NON W2k domain/network. Windows 2000 professional begins to look for the AD (Active Directory) and usually takes a LONG time.

Have you considered upgrading all of the PC's to Win2k?
