About 15 miles from where I live, they have deployed Oklahoma's first fiber to the home network! If I lived there, I would get 15Mbps down/15Mbps up for the price I pay for cable.

That is fast, but are you sure its that fast ? and if you say yes...lets see proof !

I can't show you proof of the speed, but here are a few articles on what they've done.

Call me an idiot if you want! Look at what Verizon has done with FIOS on the east coast and in Texas. I'm not talking the high speed DSL, I am talking about the fast stuff, fiber-to-the-premise.

$34.95/month

5Mbps down
512Kbps up

Earthlink through Time Warner Cable

FiOS is coming soon, but I'll be away in college by the time that's here

What do you know about FIOS? Is it as reliable as cable or DSL? I have heard mixed things about it.

I know people, who have had FIOS, I have had experience with it. You havent you just go by word of mouth. I know, you dont.

WHY IS MY DAMN UPLOAD SO SLOW???? NY, US and I use optimum online internet service. I've downloaded stuff at 900KB/s but when I upload faster than 12KB/s my internet will bascially lock up untill it gets lowered.
