Internet hiccuping

Every few hours or so, my internet will 'hiccup' (cutout for a split second-ruining an online game-)...It has nothing to do with my pc or ISP...it does it for every connection in the house

could it be the router or what?

you could confirm that its the router by plugging the modem directly to a machine. if its the router, you could reflash the device. you would need to goto the manufacturer's website, downlaod the firmware, and upload the firmeware through the device's admin page

Does this happen on any gaming server you try to connect to?
