Internet Disconnection after restarting

Hi.Does anybody know how to stay connected to internet after having to restart your computer after say installing a new program.I am running XP Pro and I am sure I was once prompted with a choice to stay connected after restarting but it hasnt happened for a long time.Thanks in advance.Darren

If your on dial up, you can't stay connected while rebooting. Your only always connected if you have dsl or cable. Unless you have an isp that requires you to log on before connecting to the net like aol with boradband.
