Hello,

For the past week or so I've been having intermittent connection issues. For instance, if I'm playing a computer game I will briefly get disconnected (without dropping) every 5 seconds or so (even though I ping fine normally)

Is this an ISP problem? Or something else?

I have Comcast, I'm using a D-link Gamerlounge router.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

It could be a mix of both the router and ISP. Have you reset the router? Since you have Comcast that could be the issue. They are known for throttling their connections on various items.

Yeah I've reset my router multiple times. Could it be computer related? Like a virus or something? Or is it strictly router/isp related?

Also I noticed on my router (Gamerlounge DGL-4500) that the Rx/Tx values fluctuate all over the place, from low to high. Not sure if this tells you anything or not. I'm not that good with computers/routers/modems.

Is your computer connected wirelessly? If so it might help to pick a wireless channel instead of having the router auto-detect one. When I was having intermittent wireless issues, that seemed to fix it.
