Intel PROSet/Wireless

I am currently using Intel PROSet/Wireless to manage my Wi-fi. I tried to connect to my friend's wireless network using the key that he has given me. However, when i am trying to key in the last number, i am unable to do so as it is the 27th character. I have asked my friend but he has no idea how to connect. He is able to enter the key on his macbook. help? tell me if i need to provide more details

It'll probably be because of the encryption used. Sounds like you're trying to use 128 bit WEP encryption (which supports up to 26 hexadecimal characters) and he's got WPA or WPA2 (which is 256 bit, and supports 8-63 characters)
