Why are you using wireless if your router is only 5ft away?

If the router is 5ft away I would consider simply running some cat5 to all your units if they are right next to each other. WiFi will never compete with a wired connection in terms of speed and stability. Only use WiFi if it is your only option I say

thats too much wire and theres allready 2 computers plugged in because my parents computers are right beside the router.
