How to work with exchage server and its use

I would like to know what is the purpose of an exchage server, how can i configure, is there a need of a domain for configuration, pls help me in detail

An exchange server is a Microsoft email server.

Have a look at Microsofts website for more information:

I think it will be hard to get someone to tell you how to configure it since there are entire courses to teach people how to setup Exchange servers.
