I was fixing this guy computer that had dual nic cards built in. they are obviously set for one in and one out. the one in don't work so good anymore. how do I set them up to be regular nic cards so that he can use the other one to get the internet?

Just plug the cat5 into the other one and check to make sure it is set to obtain ip automatically. Assuming he has a router of course. If he had it set up for ICS (Internet connection sharing) just make sure and turn that off.

they only show up as one nic card in windows

Is there possibly something in the BIOS to set how they operate?

I'm thinking that this where the solution is, but this bios has a million settings. I've never seen a bios like this
